Project Details

The project involves the construction of a two-story residential house, utilizing modified shipping containers as the primary structural component. These containers are strategically integrated with steel framing elements to provide additional strength and stability. The steel frames are designed to support the overall structure, ensuring optimal load distribution and resistance to lateral forces.

The floor system consists of wood floor joists, selected for their balance of strength and lightweight properties, while the roof is supported by wood rafters, providing an efficient and cost-effective roofing solution. Both the floor and roof systems are carefully engineered to meet the specific load requirements and to maintain structural integrity throughout the lifespan of the building.

This innovative design combines the durability and repurposed nature of shipping containers with the strength of steel framing and the flexibility of wood elements, resulting in a modern, sustainable, and structurally sound residential home.
